Hello, my name is Maddie! I’m a high school student interested in finance and economics and how they shape our lives every day.

I created my podcast because I want to share my interest in finance and economics with kids. My goal is to appeal to a young audience and to introduce concepts and connections that they can build upon as they grow and learn about the world around them. My episodes are bite-sized (to hold the attention of my youngest listeners) and spark great family conversations. I also want to democratize children’s access to this important information. Not all children grow up hearing their parents and grandparents talk about investment strategies or what bull and bear markets are or what mutual funds are. My podcast helps share information with children from all walks of life at a younger age so they can have a head start understanding how these concepts shape their lives.

Money Matters with Maddie is a podcast designed for children of all ages, who are interested in learning more about how finance and economics impact them in every day ways. From shopping at the grocery store to how you spend your birthday money to setting smart goals for yourself, all of these situations tie into the economic and financial concepts I talk about in my podcast. I take large concepts and present them in a way that helps my young audience make connections to their own lives.
